4A: Forming an opportunity belief

1) I believe that an opportunity exists in creating an online app where prescription medicine is delivered and where pharmacists come to your residence in a period of one hours or less.

2)  A "mobile-pharmacy" could potentially be beneficial in providing convenience to all individuals that need a prescription or might need a pharmacist assistance and do not feel or are incapable of driving to a pharmacy. This belief's objective is to target any person that might need medicine but are incapable or indisposed to go to a pharmacy. to be precise, this opportunity is to target baby boomers since they are aging in significant amounts. I believe this need has always existed since whenever I'm ill, the last thing I want to do is leave my house and I'm sure many feel the same way. There's a company called "GetMyRx" which delivers prescriptions but does not provide pharmacist assistance to your house. At the moment, I believe that 75% of this opportunity exists and the other 25% comes from the insecurity that this service might not be cost-effective.

3) Baby boomers

4)  Iteration NO.1: I spoke to my grandmother which is 70 years old about this belief. I asked her what she thinks about having subscription medicine or pharmacist assistance be delivered to her house in an hour or less and she told me that it would extremely convenient for her due to the fact that she's overweight and gets fatigued easily. She told me that she takes around five pills per day from different types of medicine to help her with diabetes issues and keep her cholesterol level stable. she says it's a struggle to drive to the pharmacy every other week only to get her medicine and she has been doing that for the past 6 months. She mentioned that she would rather pay a little extra for her medicine to be delivered. Discussing this belief with my grandmother helped me realize that people would rather pay extra money for their medicine to be delivered just like they pay extra for their food to be delivered to their residence.

5) iteration No. 2: One of my friends who was recently ill for a week. I asked him about how inconvenient was for him to go to class and work. He told me that he only wanted to stay home all day without doing anything. He also mentioned that he would have rather a pharmacist or someone to come to his house and give him the medicine he needed. He then told me that medicine delivered to his house whenever he was sick would've been convenient for him and would have avoided going all the way to the pharmacy. He agreed to with me that a "mobile-pharmacy" could work but mentioned that only few could afford it. By interviewing my friend, I concluded that this service app could only aim to high-income individuals.

6) Iteration N.3: The last person I interviewed was my grandfather which is 68 years old. I asked him how beneficial would be for him for medicine to be delivered to his home whenever he's feeling indisposed and he told me it was a great idea. He added that a pharmacist would not be needed since he already knows which medicine he needs whenever he has a fever or any medical issues. I asked him how often he would think he would use the app and he told me whenever he's sick. he told me that he hates leaving his house to go to a place to only buy one thing from there. Speaking to my grandfather about this opportunity enabled me to understand that individuals will mostly use this app for medicine to be delivered to their residence instead of pharmacist help.

7) I believe that there is a 70% opportunity still in existence for this belief. The high cost that this service requires eliminates potential costumers and will only target high-income people of at least 60 years old with medical issues that need medicine on the daily or weekly basis. As a result, I believe my opportunity is less accurate then when I started. I believe that entrepreneurs should strongly adapt their opportunities based on the customers' feedback since entrepreneurs want to find out the exact need that potential consumers want; otherwise, their product or service would not work since it is not what costumers want even if you think your product or idea is great as it is.
