Prototypical Customer: James
James is 75 years old and has lived all his life in
Gainesville, Florida. James went to the University of Florida and studied business
management in which he graduated as a Magna Cum Laude in 1973. James retired 10
years ago and lives with his wife, Elizabeth, in the suburbs of Gainesville. James
wakes up at 5:00 am to read the news, make his cup of coffee, and watch the
sunrise. Moreover, James likes to take his two golden retrievers for a walk with
his wife during the evenings. James has two daughters which live out of state. He
has no family members that live in the Gainesville area because he has a very
small family. Last month, James felt down the stairs and dislocated his right
shoulder. As a result, he must go to therapies and take some prescription for a
month to alleviate the pain since his bones are already extremely weak. Therefore,
he has to go to the pharmacy to buy his prescription
every week. James lives 20 minutes away
from the closest pharmacy which he detests. His old age makes it difficult for
him to be going to the pharmacy every single week. As a consequence, James wishes
there was a way for his medicine to be delivered
and for a physical therapist to come to his house so he can avoid the inconvenience
of driving to these places.
What I have in common
with the customer avatar:
What I have in common with James is that we both live in Gainesville
and know how difficult is to drive around because of traffic. In addition, we
both understand the importance of convenience and time. We both know that time
is a limited source which we want to maximize. I don’t think it is a coincidence
because I believe that most people value their time and how they use it.
Nicolas, first of all, your little old man avatar is so freakin' cute I love it so much. I think you did an awesome job creating your prototypical consumer. It was so cute to hear his little background story, believe it or not, it got my emotions a little bit because I love old people and this was well written. I think you seriously did an amazing job with this, I just wanna like give this little old man a hug and help him get his medicine, but I know your business idea is going to be an amazing solution for him, which will make me feel so much better, lol.
ReplyDeleteHi Nicolas! I hope you are well. I think you did a great job creating the avatar and describing him. He is so cute and old! He had a great background story, and it sounds like he had a successful existence thus far. It was nice to see how you related to him, and then how your business solution would benefit him in the long run. Overall, great job!
