14A: Halfway Reflection

Tenaciousness is a competency:
Some of the most essential behaviors I developed to keep up with the requirements of this course is time management and organization skills. Some of these assignments can get relatively lengthy; therefore, doing assignments on time can get moderately complicated if you have other schoolwork or extracurricular activities. As a result, being organized and setting apart time of your day to do the requirements of this course is crucial to do well in this class.
Tenaciousness is also about attitude
A moment I felt like giving up in this class was in the beginning of the course when I had the wrong URLs for three of my assignments. As a result, I was not given the points that I have relentlessly worked for and should have earned. I got frustrated and mad at myself because I apparently did not follow the instructions correctly, but I told myself it was just the beginning of the semester and still have time to recover. We all make mistakes throughout our lives and it’s okay. What we have to do is learned from those mistakes so they don’t happen again. I believe I developed a tenacious attitude because I didn’t give up. I knew I had still an opportunity to succeed in this class, despite of the frustration I felt.  I didn’t give up because I have failed in past experiences and I knew that if I learned from my mistakes, I was going to improve and eventually succeed.
Three tips
1) Perseverance. Be persistent in what you doing despite all odds and difficulty you might encounter. You might miss to do one assignment or two, but don't let it affect you.
2) Commitment. Be committed to do all assignments on time and at the best of your abilities. Respond to every question and provide examples.
3) Positive attitude. Try to learn as much as you can in this class. This class will not only help you in your entrepreneur journey if you have one, but also in your personal life. This class will empower you to look at life with a different perspective.

  1. Hi Nicolas - I hope you are well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post about tenacity, and how it has affected your life. I agree with the tips that you provided students - I think that it is critical to persevere, be committed, and to have a positive attitude. Most things could never be done without the three. I think having a positive attitude is the most important of the three, because any situation can be turned great with a good attitude.

  2. Nicolas, you did a great job with this assignment. I agree with you that time management and organization are essential keys to success, I highlighted these in my own discussion post as well! I'm sorry you had issues with your URL's in the beginning of the semester, but I'm happy you were able to figure it all out, and I bet this won't even affect you slightly in the end! Keep up the hard work!
