11A: Idea Napkin

You: I am Nicolas Zafra and I am a junior at the University of Florida pursuing a major in business management with a specialization in economics, finance, and marketing in agribusiness. I enjoy the challenge of analyzing the symptoms, identifying what is wrong, and finding the solution. My aspiration is to start a business, preferably in the food industry. Specifically, regarding my business concept, I see my business opportunity as a challenge to understand the concept of starting a business and finding the solution to perfect a business idea. If I were to start it, it would play a major role in my life since it will require my full devoted attention.
What am I offering to customers: convenience and efficiency when it comes to medicine and prescriptions. A mobile pharmacy will allow customers to order their medicine online. They must fill out the required information and a delivery driver will bring their medicine or prescription right to their door.
Who are you offering it to: Mobile pharmacy will be targeted to middle and high-income baby boomers who are 70 or older and are incapable of driving to the pharmacy. Also, the potential customer could be anyone who seeks convenience.  
Why do they care: Customers will pay for convenience, just like a pizza or grocery delivery. As Baby Boomers get older, it will be difficult for them to go to different places, especially if they are driving. The mobile pharmacy can offer both convenience and efficiency.
What are you core competencies: Currently, there are not really known mobile pharmacies in the United States. What sets apart this business idea from others is that it offers convenience and efficiency.

I believe that these elements fit together. What I’m offering to customers is nothing new to all kinds of business. Convenience is one of the main elements that numerous business offer such as Uber, Amazon, or even Walmart. As a result, I believe that what I’m offering to these specific customers is something that they might be looking for.

    Nicolas, great job on your discussion post. I think all your pieces fit together well just like you said. Although you mentioned you wanted your business to be in the food industry, I do believe that who you are as a person and what you aspire to become well could work well with your business plan. I love the fact that you have such a strong emphasis with your product on convenience, being that my product revolves around that as well. Great work.
