Opportunity:

My opportunity is targeted to those individuals who are looking for their medicine to be delivered to their doorstep. This delivery service can be utilized by anybody who might have the unmet need, but it is principally intended to serve Baby Boomers who are aging in immense quantities. I believe there is not a service yet created for medicine to be delivered. Although there are other methods or services for medicine as well as prescriptions to be delivered such as Uber or Lyft, there is not a service specifically in existence, that I’m aware of, that attends to satisfy the unmet need that my opportunity is trying to do. As Baby Boomers continue to age, they will inevitably have health problems that will require them to buy medicine and prescriptions they will need to recover. Some of them will not be able to drive to their pharmacies because of such health problems, old age, or simply because they feel indisposed. I believe my opportunity could serve all Baby Boomers around the United States as my opportunity continues to grow, but I would like this opportunity to start in a mid-size city where there are more potential customers. I think this opportunity is big if it is projected properly. The “window of opportunity” can be taken at any moment.

Innovation:

This opportunity is a service that provides delivery of medicines and prescriptions to those that are ill, indisposed or simply because it is inconvenient and time-consuming for them to go the pharmacy. This opportunity is application-based where customers create a personal account and fill out the required information. They must provide insurance, SSN, name, last name, address, email, phone number, family’s doctor information, and credit or debit where they will be charged for the service. The customer must provide the exact name and quantity of the medicine. The deliverer and customer will have a chat where they can communicate and provide updates. The amount charged will be based on the time It takes the deliverer to arrive at the final destination. The customer will be charged as follow:

·        0-30 minutes: $10 max

·        31-60 minutes: $11-16 max

·        1:01-1:30: $17-$25 max

Deliverers must follow the restrict way the customer wants them to get to their house.

Venture Concept:

This service would satisfy the need for medicine delivery. There are grocery and food deliverers, but there is not a medicine or prescription delivery specifically. This service would provide convenience to individuals who are unable to drive to the pharmacy. Costumers will want this service because it can be inconvenient for people to drive to the pharmacy for various reasons such as traffic, illness, or limited time.

·        Competitors can be any other type of delivery service. These competitors can sometimes be expensive and they are not designed to deliver medicine or prescriptions which can be their possible weaknesses.

·        This business will be application-based and hence will not need any location building or warehouse other than headquarters. This business will require marketing, I.T., lawyers, human resources, and others to be able to operate efficiently and effectively.

Three minor elements:

·        Secret sauce: I think the most important resource for this business is my work ethic.  We all know that businesses take a lot of process, innovation, mistakes, and learning to be able to succeed. Work ethic is what defines me because I don’t give up easily and won’t be satisfied until I succeed.

·        What’s next: I think what is next is to add more services to these delivery services. One service could be a pharmacist to go to your house and provide assistance. In addition, this service could spread to other countries where this service might be needed.

·        What’s next for me: hypothetically speaking, I would like to be successful with this business assuming it launches. In addition, I would like to create new services or products that will benefit society and make people’s lives easier and simpler.
